The questionnaire was developed by Kelleher\nand collaborators (1997)\n. It is a simple,\nacceptable and reliable measure to use in the clinical setting\nand a research tool that is useful in evaluating UI treatment\noutcomes. The KHQ five dimensions (KHQ5D) is a\ncondition-specific preference-based measure developed by\nBrazier and collaborators (2008)\n. Although not as popular as the\nSF6D and EQ-5D\n, the KHQ5D measures health-related\nquality of life (HRQoL) specifically for UI, not general\nconditions like the others two instruments mentioned. The KHQ5D\nca be used in the clinical and economic evaluation of health\ncare. The subject self-rates their health in terms of five\ndimensions: Role Limitation (RL), Physical Limitations (PL),\nSocial Limitations (SL), Emotions (E), and Sleep (S).\nFrequently the states on these five dimensions are converted to\na single utility index using country specific value sets, which\ncan be used in the clinical and economic evaluation of health\ncare as well as in population health surveys.
